Parkway Bible Assembly Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the only infallible rule of authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is true God and true man. Through the virgin birth He is absolutely sinless.
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person. He convicts men of sin, He indwells, seals and empowers every believer.
We believe that God created the universe and all living beings. He created man and then woman in His own image; He ordained marriage as a union of one man and one woman as a picture of Christ and the church. Adam and Eve were innocent until they disobeyed God. Therefore all have sinned and are subject to death.
We believe that the sinless nature and life of the Lord Jesus Christ qualified Him to bear our sins on the cross. Those who trust in Him are justified and forgiven and assured of eternal life. Those who reject the finished work of Christ are condemned to eternal punishment.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into Heaven, and His pre-millennial pre-tribulation return to the air to take His church to Heaven.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will return to earth with His saints to establish His millennial kingdom.
We believe in the universal Church composed of all believers in Christ; local assemblies meet to worship, serve and glorify God. Two ordinances have been established by Scripture: baptism and the Lord's supper, neither of which is essential to salvation.
